Kenny Ray Horton: Music
Pasadena

This song is about a friend of mine, actually we dated and I haven't sen her since, but we have visited a time or two. After we had broken up, she took off to the west coast, Pasadena to be exact, in search of a job and things really panned out for her. Everything happens for a reason, I'm glad we passed through each others lives. A few people have left permanent impressions on my life in positive ways, and she was one of those friends.
VERSE 1
She liked the way the lights from candles
Glowed upon the wall
And the way they showed off shadows in the hallway
All the kisses and the conversations
We shared on the floor
I thought they'd go on like that for always
CHORUS
Pasadena, you stole my heart
You're a girl that ran away so very far
And you're a town out on the California coast
How can I find you now
VERSE 2
She dreamed of how the waves would crash in
Gently from the sea
And how the moon would sometimes shimmer
On the water
I will always hold the memory of her
So close to me
And I regret that I once told her that she ought to see it
BRIDGE
Run. run, run away
I will find you again someday
It may be in anothers eyes
Oh but then I may realize just what true love is
