Kenny Ray Horton: Music

Strangely Familiar

(Kenny Ray Horton)
April 1, 2004
Written by Bruce Gaitsch/Loretta Branc
As Bruce and I were trying to write a few more tunes to finish up my record, he asked me to sing a demo for him and it was this tune. I loved it from the first day. I wish I could have helped pen this one, but it was a priviledge to get to be the voice for it.
VERSE 1
Have we met before
Don't I know you
I'm not good with names
But I know I know you
Oh I'll admit
I've got an aweful memory
But you're strangely familiar to me

VERSE 2
No it wasn't there
I've never been to Boston
Maybe we met right here,
Do you come here often
I won't sleep tonight
Till we solve this mystery
You're so strangely familiar
To me

CHORUS
De ja vous
Keeps running through my mind
Oh me and you
In another place in time
You're like a melody
That keeps on haunting me
You're strangely familiar,
So strangely familiar

VERSE 3
Yes it would be nice
I'd love to get some coffee
Such a perfect night
Why be lonely
No we haven't met
But it feels like destiny
You're so strangely familiar
To me
