Kenny Ray Horton: Music
Where The Truth Lies
(Kenny Ray Horton)
April 1, 2004
Written by Kenny Ray Horton/Bruce Gaitsch
This tune started out to be a lie being told like the truth. Then we realized that all of these made up songs are just that anyway. It ended up being about a tough guy trying his best to say that he's in love. Sort of Fonzy meets Hallmark.
VERSE 1
I'm known for being kind of quiet
I may not say just how I feel
Kind of rough around the edges
But this heart's not made of steel
So darlin come a little closer
Cause there's so much more inside
Lots of things I haven't shown you
But there's one thing I can't hide
CHORUS
All I want is your arms
Wrapped all around me
Skin on skin girl
One kiss and you'll see
I'm lost in your love
Drawn in by your eyes
Come on in, come on in
And see where the truth lies
VERSE 2
There's not a man on earth whose perfect
An honest lovers hard to find
Take a chance come on loves worth it
And I may just be your kind
BRIDGE
Don't believe everything you see
Let your heart fall in love with me
